Lauren loves her new Ariel bathing suit. More excuses for her to ask for "pool, pool". We finally had a clear afternoon to use it. Go away rain!

Movie Night

"Mooovie" as Lauren calls it. Lauren loves movie night! Right now, her absolute favorite movie is "The Little Mermaid". She tries to be very convincing and asks us in many different ways to watch this movie. "Under the Sea, Please" or she'll just say "Mermaid?" I think it is wonderful movie, I just don't know how many times I can actually watch it.

Happy July 4th!

Sorry, didn't take any pictures that night! Too much going on. A bunch of us walked up our street towards the Red, Hot and Boom Fireworks. Lauren loved them! She also wore an adorable dress that was too big for her last year, but fit her perfectly this year. I wish I took a picture!!!!!

My First Trip to the Beach

Lauren is ready for her first trip to the beach!
Lauren was very afraid of the waves. She made Mommy and Daddy hold her by the ocean. While we stood there looking out at the sea we saw a group of dolphins not too far off from the shore. It was amazing! We didn't attempt to swim closer to them, just in case they weren't really dolphins. (Jaws?)

Lauren ended up getting a better tan than her parents.

Lauren didn't really like getting dirty. She did not want to sit in the sticky sand. If you notice she is squatting to touch the sand, not sitting.

As you can see, Lauren was exhausted from this trip. It took her less than 1 minute to fall asleep in the car. zzzzzzz.............

Hmm.... I know Mommy always uses them. Let's give it a try, by myself!

Well, I'm getting a little messy. It's just not as easy as it looks!

Ok, so I have to admit using

my hands is sooo much easier!

And, using both hands, way more fun!

Sorry Mommy, using a fork or spoon is just not my thing! yet....

Sea World

Lauren's first trip to Sea World was a blast!

With the temperature in the 90's Mommy and Daddy were so exhausted, but little Lauren kept her energy level high! In fact, she had so much energy that we had to walk out of the Elmo show because she was such a wiggle worm. Even with the ants in her pants, she seemed to enjoy most of the shows. Her absolute favorite part was seeing the Polar Bear. She also enjoyed the dolphins splashing her at dolphin cove. That of course was Mommy's favorite part!

Happy Father's Day

Lauren and I took Gabe out for a wonderful brunch before he had to depart for his business trip. Happy Father's Day Daddy!

Garage Sale

Lauren was such a great helper, trying out all of the items to show the customers they worked. Of course she wanted to keep everything! Someone even asked if she was for sale. Not this cutie pie!

Lauren's 2nd Hair Cut

Today Lauren had an appointment at a Salon to get her hair trimmed. She wore a princess cape and munched on cookies while her hair was cut. I was very worried that she would be a wiggle worm. The cookies saved the day!

Summer Time

Bailey finally has her summer time partner in crime back! Lauren and Bailey play tug-o-war, watch sesame street together and Lauren has learned how to ask Bailey for her paw. Bailey knows that Lauren can not reach the treats for her yet, but somehow Lauren managed to give her a chewy the other day?

Mother's Day - Redo

Since Lauren wasn't feeling good Mother's Day weekend, we planned a Mother's Day 'redo'. The following weekend we took Lauren to a character breakfast at Epcot. She enjoyed seeing the characters from far away. Once they came to our table she practically climbed into my lap to get away from them.

She absolutely loved the dessert! They served 'the princess' (that's how they refer to her in the restaurant) a decorate your own cupcake. Yummy!
Although it seems as if our Mother's Day re-do was more for Lauren, it wasn't. Seeing a smile on her face is the best Mother's Day present of all!

Updates!

Finally, I am posting some updates! Well since I last posted......We had a bird make a nest in our dead hanging plant, by the front door. The bird ended up being pregnant and had two babies! Lauren loves saying, "Hi, Birdeeeee" everytime we walk by. Now they all flew away. Bye-Bye Birds! She also had a very sick Mother's Day weekend! :( boo hoo

Lauren just loves being in the water. She splashes and kicks her feet. Look at her go!

Animal Kingdom

Lauren LOVED Animal Kingdom. She is a big animal lover like her Mommy. Daddy is in such trouble whenever we go by a pet store. At least, you need a licence to take home any of these animals at Animal Kingdom. So he was safe to take us there. We definitely couldn't have taken any of those animals home! Yikes. At first, Lauren was a little timid in the petting zoo. But after seeing Mommy and Daddy petting the animals several times she finally felt comfortable.
Lauren also LOVED the parade. Many characters approched her during the parade. One character asked for her sippy cup and she started to get scared. Lauren was not scared of the characters from a nice, far distance, but up close......no way! She screamed 'Hi' to all of the characters coming by. Especially Mickey and Pluto. Good choice Lauren! There is so much to do there, I just can't wait to go again!!!!!!!!!!!!

1st Baseball Game

Lauren attended her first baseball game with Mommy, Daddy, Aunt Sarah and Uncle Joe. She just loved running up and down this hill during the game. She even had her own fans cheering her up and down the hill. Forget the baseball game...there was a cutie pie on the loose!
