I think this will be a favorite stop for Lauren each time we visit Disney. 
Lauren was so excited to ride the carousel at Disney. She was thrilled to sit on the horse! Then, all of a sudden she realized that she was on the horse by herself. Yikes. After a quick picture Mommy joined her for the ride. We had a blast going up and down on the carousel. Of course, when the carousel stopped it was way up high and hard for Lauren, well really Mommy, to get down!

It's an official 'Back to... Teacher Work Day Week'. My team of teachers rocked out in our matching gear! Of course, everyone laughed at us. We usually get made fun of anyways for turning in things early, etc... So why not add to the drama by wearing a "2nd Grade Teachers Rock" shirt. 
This is Lauren's 2nd week back to daycare and she is adjusting beautifully. No more cries at drop off. She hugs her teacher when she arrives. What a big girl she is!
This week Lauren's class had a Hat theme. She painted a Dr. Seuss Hat, Top Hat, Party Hat and glued tissue paper on a Firefighter Hat. On Friday she was allowed to wear her favorite hat. Lauren wore a Dora hat and apparently she was the only child that kept her hat on ALL day long! When I say ALL day long, not only did she wear it all day at school but she continued to wear it until night time.
At school the other little girls wanted their hair in ponytails, so of course Lauren requested it too! She finally can have a cute ponytail!
It is really hard to wake Lauren up in the morning. She isn't grouchy (thank goodness)! It's even ten times harder to undress her when she wears her princess PJ's to bed. She never wants to take them off. I can't send her to school in PJ's! PS...Notice the lovely bedhead I have to deal with in the AM. :-)
Today was Lauren's 'Back to School' day. She is starting school so Mommy can get her classroom ready for her students. Lauren had a fit when Daddy dropped her off this morning. Luckily, a little girl came over and gave her a hug and brought Lauren over to the toys. Kids are so sweet! After Daddy left, her teacher said she was happy and playing with everyone, as if she never had the summer off. She sang, danced and painted today! When I picked her up on the playground she was riding a 3-wheel bicycle. She loved it.
I know Lauren loves it there. It will be a while before she lets us drop her off without a cry for Mommy. What can I say, she's a Mommy's girl! 
Say good-bye to....... waking up late, eating breakfast for lunch, playing in the pool, shopping with friends, daytime TV and the best of all SPENDING MY WHOLE DAY WITH LAUREN!

On top of the world! This was Gabe's first time on top of the Empire State Building. 
She enjoyed hanging out with (my former 2nd grade student) Nicholas, his baby brother Ashe and (my co-worker) Mrs. Herod. Thanks for the roller coaster ride Nick!
Lauren loves her new Ariel bathing suit. More excuses for her to ask for "pool, pool". We finally had a clear afternoon to use it. Go away rain!
Lauren had a great time playing at Chuck E. Cheese for the first time. 
"Mooovie" as Lauren calls it. Lauren loves movie night! Right now, her absolute favorite movie is "The Little Mermaid". She tries to be very convincing and asks us in many different ways to watch this movie. "Under the Sea, Please" or she'll just say "Mermaid?" I think it is wonderful movie, I just don't know how many times I can actually watch it.
Sorry, didn't take any pictures that night! Too much going on. A bunch of us walked up our street towards the Red, Hot and Boom Fireworks. Lauren loved them! She also wore an adorable dress that was too big for her last year, but fit her perfectly this year. I wish I took a picture!!!!!
